Design for Change is a worldwide competition that is forming the largest movement of young people creating change EVER!
The idea is simple, children are asked to design solutions to problems that they encounter in their lives, schools, neighborhoods or communities. They must then pick one week between September 1st and February 28th, 2012 to follow the process listed below:
Children work alongside teachers and mentors to implement their ideas and submit their entries via Powerpoint presentation, video, or photo essay. All entries must be submitted by the February 28th, 2012 deadline.
Five outstanding entries from the USA will be chosen to win prizes and one entry will be chosen to win the Gandhi Prize. Winning entries will be announced by March 15, 2011.
